Merchandiser/Cashier

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise, or direct them to a parts specialist for hard parts.
• Check out customers purchasing front floor merchandise quickly and courteously.
• Handle merchandise returns efficiently and professionally.
• Assist with completing sales tickets, processing payments (cash, checks, credit cards), and managing express lanes during busy periods.
• Stock and front merchandise according to planograms, displays, and company guidelines.
• Maintain clean, full, and well-organized merchandise displays daily.
• Implement display changes, price updates, and ensure all sale signage is correctly placed and removed after sales end.
• Restock sales flyer racks and maintain sufficient quantities of sale merchandise on display.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, overstock returns, and other inventory tasks.
• Work with management to complete store To-Do lists and Team Weekly tasks.
• Act as a shoplifting deterrent and provide front floor security.
• Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
• Clock in and out according to company policy.

Requirements

• Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Previous cashier and/or stocking experience is desired.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Fluency in multiple languages, with Spanish highly preferred.
