Merchandiser

Summary

Responsible for retail shelf replenishment, product rotation, retail inventory organization between and during deliveries, constructing displays, and maintaining retail point‑of‑sale materials to enhance the sell‑through of our brands and packages.

Job Duties

• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Be responsible for equipment and point‑of‑sale materials.
• Assist with retail deliveries when required.
• Assist with placement or installation of point‑of‑sale, merchandising, and display activities in retail accounts.
• Stock shelves according to the current shelf schematic.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding product freshness and rotation.
• Monitor condition of POS (paper and permanent) and coordinate replacement with the sales rep.
• Follow all product‑handling procedures according to each retailer’s policy.
• Adhere to the route schedule to ensure proper coverage and service of assigned accounts.
• Construct and maintain retail displays as instructed by the District Manager or Sales Rep.
• Deliver immediate‑need “hot‑shot” retail order requests.
• Adhere to company policies and laws (local, federal & state) pertaining to product invoicing, signatures, and payment collection.
• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other team members.
• Complete assigned training and development classes.
• Attend company meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Good communication skills and ability to work and collaborate effectively with others, including team members, other departments, and clients/customers.
• Effective time‑management skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to calculate simple math functions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Good work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Strong organization skills and multitasking ability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• A team player with a readiness to communicate often and effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple projects.
• Direct experience in wholesale beer distribution and/or brewer/supplier operations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move products weighing up to 165 lb.
• Hang merchandise as needed.
• Repetitive lifting up to 50 lb overhead.
• Bending, pulling/pushing up to 340 lb on a two‑wheeler.
• Ability to continuously stand or walk.
• Ability to bend and occasionally squat.
• Repetitive carrying and reaching.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Perform job‑related tasks safely while wearing required safety equipment.
