About the role
As a Merchandiser, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our strategic sales initiatives in your assigned sales region, collaborating closely with the Sales Team in that area. Your responsibilities will encompass tasks focused on executing our SmartStock program, ensuring compliance with company policies, and providing merchandising and sales support. You will also build strong relationships with customers in the sales region and support the Sales Team in addressing their needs and concerns. Your professionalism and business execution are critical contributions to driving business forward for our customers, vendors, and ourselves.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a detailed and specific call routine with a designated ledger of customers.
- Maintain and execute the SmartStock program (racks, plan-o-grams, ordering, and merchandising activities).
- Identify and reduce out-of-stocks on shelves.
- Ensure products are fresh and within date code parameters.
- Attend to customer needs and concerns promptly.
- Ensure plan-o-gram, marketing best practices, and compliance in stores.
- Identify display opportunities and maximize display positioning.
- Ensure that products are properly displayed, priced, and identified.
- Find solutions to possible customer challenges with assistance.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Ability to drive to customer locations using personal transportation (mileage and gasoline reimbursement provided).
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and proper valid insurance.
- 1–2 years of working experience in a customer service, merchandising, or sales position.
