Merchandiser

Job Description

Merges products including stocking shelves, rotating shelved products, setting up displays, cooler stocking/rotation, storage room organization, and moving products from storage to the sales floor.

• Fills and merchandises all coolers, displays, racks, shelves, and/or vendors in accordance with PBV standards.
• Sells and executes all promotions.
• Creates and utilizes point-of-sale signage.
• Develops good customer relations.
• Serves all customers as scheduled.
• Orders product and/or runs invoices.
• Cleans equipment and maintains backroom storage in an orderly fashion – rotates stock.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED, highly preferred.
• Three to five years of relevant work experience, may be considered, in lieu of a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Able to perform basic financial calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good driving habits.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.

Essential Mental and Physical Functions

• Repetitive job requiring frequent, but not more than normal mental or visual effort or alertness.
• Constantly (67%-100%) required to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and push/pull 300 – 2400 pounds with the assistance of a pallet jack.
• Frequently (34%-66%) required to walk.
• Occasionally (0%-33%) required to climb and sit.

EQUIPMENT USED

• Vehicle, hand truck, store floats, pallet jacks, label gun, telephone, calculator, Point of Purchase materials, computer reports, cardboard balers, various types of vending equipment, and general office equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• None required.
