About the role
The Merchandiser is responsible for pricing and setting customer’s stores. The Merchandiser reports directly to the Merchandising Manager overseeing the geographical area they service. A Merchandiser may be either permanent in the position, or a temporary Sales Trainee assigned to the department as part of an ongoing sales training program.

$20.00 an hour

Monday – Friday starting at 7:00 AM

Responsibilities
- Assist in the training of new fellow merchandisers on how to properly price and set customer shelving.
- Create customer store layouts upon request, place orders via a telxon unit, arrange delivery to the store, and physically price and merchandise the product at the customer’s store.
- Submit proper forms for employee reimbursement (travel, auto, gas, per diem, hotel, etc.).
- Participate in company annual shows by setting up and tearing down the convenience-store display.
- Record unsalable merchandise when resetting customer stores so the customer can receive credit.
- Assist, when necessary, in delivering and unloading orders and returns.
- Assist the Merchandising Manager in maintaining inventory of all merchandising supplies (mylar tags, peg hooks, price guns, labels, etc.).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 6+ months merchandising experience.
- Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance and ability to travel to customer locations.
- Driver’s license with clear driving record.
Qualifications
- Self-motivated, self-starter, and detail oriented.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Physical demands
- Frequent lifting of products weighing 5–25 lbs throughout the day.
- May lift a case of product or tote weighing up to 70 lbs.
