Merchandiser

About the role

Iberia Foods is a leading Caribbean and Hispanic food distributor headquartered in 1930. We offer a wide range of products including condiments, pantry items, beverages, and snacks from leading Caribbean and Latin American brands. We are currently seeking a Merchandiser to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Provide and deliver product services at major retailers
• Ensure shelves are stocked with products in the right quantities and displays optimized for sales
• Analyze sales and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan inventory stock
• Develop merchandising strategies that balance customer expectations and company objectives
• Plan and produce layout plans for stores and maintain store shelves to enhance visibility and customer satisfaction
• Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, and clear outs
• Stock shelves, arrange, and maintain product displays, and remove dated or damaged products from store shelves
• Build professional relationships with internal and external management

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of retail merchandising and display techniques
• Experience with inventory management and sales analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in retail or related field
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Skills

Skills required include:

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Knowledge of local markets and consumer behavior

Pay

Hourly pay range starts at $15 to $20 per hour based on experience.
