Merchandiser

About the role

Iberia Foods, founded in 1930, is the largest Caribbean and Hispanic food distributor in the United States. We offer a wide range of products including condiments, pantry items, beverages, and snacks from leading Caribbean and Latin American brands. We are seeking a Merchandiser to join our team in Orlando.

Responsibilities

• Provide and deliver product services at major retailers.
• Ensure shelves are stocked with products in the right quantities and displays optimized for sales.
• Deliver great service to customers by maintaining shelves and optimizing product visibility.
• Analyze sales and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan inventory stock.
• Develop merchandising strategies that balance customer expectations and company objectives.
• Plan layout plans for stores and maintain store shelves to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Maintain stock movement, consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, and clear outs.
• Stock shelves, arrange, and maintain product displays.
• Remove dated or damaged products from store shelves.
• Build professional relationships with internal and external management.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in retail or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of product placement and display techniques.
• Basic understanding of sales data analysis.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in retail or related field preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
