Merchandise Vendor

About the role

This role is in charge of the selling of merchandise at the arena for Sabres games and non‑hockey events.

Responsibilities

• Set up and display merchandise locations.
• Sell product and maintain stand cleanliness.
• Perform inventories and settle credit‑card sales at the conclusion of each event.
• Provide the highest level of customer service.
• Follow arena and department policies and procedures.
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
• Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as they become evident.
• Maintain product knowledge and replenish stock.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service/retail sales experience (preferred).
• Point of Sale Terminal (POS) system experience (preferred).
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Compensation

This role will pay an hourly rate of $16.00 plus commission.

Work environment & physical demands

The position operates in both an office setting and a live‑events setting, with exposure to loud stadium noises and crowds. While performing duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, run, reach, kneel, and crouch. Specific vision abilities required include close and focused vision. The candidate must be able to lift and move boxes and merchandise weighing up to 50 lb.
