MERCHANDISE SUPPORT ANALYST - BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE

About the role

Assists in managing the day-to-day functionality of the Business Intelligence network and in the creation and testing of analytic methods for business intelligence improvement for merchandise requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes current business trends and projects sales to highlight potential risks and opportunities.
• Identifies data requirements and merchant needs to develop reports used for business analysis.
• Identifies opportunities for improved analytics and distribution by collaborating with end users.
• Develops and manages the business intelligence analytic workflow and schedule.
• Develops and provides analysis of marketing metrics as scheduled.
• Assists in collection of data for updates on the creative design of the business intelligence solution.
• Performs day-to-day ad hoc analytic requests as needed from Code M.
• Reviews Code M planning metrics for accuracy and provides input for corrections.
• Assists in the creation of curriculum for planning processes and fundamentals for retail math and business intelligence systems.

Requirements

• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office with a proficiency in Excel and Access.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in merchandising technical or other responsible work which enabled the applicant to gain a knowledge of merchandising and procurement practices, skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships, and the ability to exercise mature judgment.
• Or Substitution of Education for Experience: One year of education above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience up to a maximum of a 4-year bachelor’s degree for three years of general experience.
• Three years of experience that provided background in data warehousing, analytical reporting, analyzing financial results, or similar work which demonstrated the knowledge and ability within the operational area.
