Merchandise Processing Associate

About the role

The Merchandise Processing Associate position at Savers / Value Village is responsible for processing donations received at the store. This includes sorting, cleaning, and preparing items for resale.

Responsibilities

• Sort, clean, and prepare donated items for resale
• Handle customer inquiries and ensure a positive shopping experience
• Work closely with donors to provide information about the donation process
• Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience in retail or related field is preferred

Qualifications

• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
• Pass a background check and drug screening
• Knowledge of basic computer operations and Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
