About the role

The Merchandise Processing Associate plays a crucial role in creating an awesome experience for customers, donors, and other team members. This position supports the mission of Thrift Proud by processing donations and ensuring that items are ready for sale in Savers stores.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect donated items to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Sort and organize donated items into appropriate categories.
• Prepare items for display and sale in the store.
• Communicate effectively with donors and other team members to provide information and support.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of basic inventory management principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
