About the role
The Merchandise Processing Associate position at Savers / Value Village is responsible for processing donations received at our thrift stores. This includes sorting, pricing, and preparing items for sale.
Responsibilities
- Sort and organize donated items into categories suitable for resale
- Pricing and tagging items accurately
- Assist customers with finding items they need
- Handle returns and exchanges according to store policies
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the sales floor
- Communicate effectively with donors, customers, and fellow team members
Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently
- High school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
- Experience in retail or customer service preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
