About the Role

The Merchandise Planner will establish processes to support EU digital and store growth across all categories. Working with their leader, they will provide in-depth sales and inventory analysis, along with recommendations to the international team, to maximize sales and profitability for the client’s Global and Franchise Partners.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales plans and inventory levels for the EU digital channel.
  • Partner with the client’s Global Digital (VSGD) team to understand market trends, nuances, and risks/opportunities to achieve business goals.
  • Analyze and drive business performance and trends to ensure assortments maximize growth potential, incorporating assortment planning and tiering analysis.
  • Provide input to Monthly Planning Committee (MPC) meetings to optimize inventory across multiple distribution centers and operating models based on merchandise and sales trends.
  • Partner with Merchants to support assortment goals, product launch cadence, and markdown strategy.
  • Ensure digital active dates are accurate and information flows from the international merchant assortment tool (MAT) and the Digital Active Date (DAD) tool.
  • Ensure international exclusives flow through the domestic product development process (PDP) and all attributes are populated for vs.com/eu and franchise data handoff.
  • Develop rapport with cross-functional teams and build credibility through effective communication.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from cross-functional teams.
  • Manage merchandise inventory levels in the EU distribution center and ensure accurate ring-fencing across channels through inbound receipt tracking and collaboration with Merchandise Planners, Demand Forecasters, and Deployment Analysts.
  • Monitor and adjust inventory in-season to minimize markdowns and deliver end-of-season mark-out-of-stock.
  • Align VSGD inventory expectations with the brand deployment strategy through continuous education of the client’s Global inventory management process.
  • Partner with Logistics and UPS to provide EU distribution center volume projections.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in analytical positions such as merchandise planning, inventory deployment, demand forecasting, finance, or logistics.
  • High level of technical proficiency using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Excellent statistical and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and customer types/levels.
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be a team player and foster a commitment to teamwork among associates.
  • International experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
