About the role
The Merchandise Manager (part-time) position serves as a liaison between artist representatives and venue management, overseeing merchandise operations. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to motivate a team to efficiently manage merchandise during and after concerts.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with artist representatives to advance product lines for upcoming events
- Develop Merchandise Specialist schedules based on event projections
- Oversee inventory count-in and count-out procedures
- Support sales operations by training, mentoring, and motivating Merchandise Specialists
- Maintain merchandise stands and displays to high standards
- Complete pre-show, post-show, and payroll reports
- Communicate with Venue Management and Regional Merchandise Management team
- Foster positive experiences for guests, staff, and other stakeholders
Qualifications
- Refined communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Guest-centric and able to respond professionally to requests and concerns
- Team-driven with advanced leadership abilities
- Basic business proficiency, including forecasting and timely reporting
- Experience in event merchandising positions preferred
- Prior experience in customer service or hospitality
Requirements
- Able to work full days with shifts up to 15 hours
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to work in outdoor environments in various weather conditions
- Working knowledge of touch-screen based systems
- Legal working age in the state
