Responsibilities

• Oversee the receiving, unpacking, and organizing of new stock to ensure items are quickly and efficiently placed on the sales floor.
• Manage the setup and maintenance of displays for specific store sections, ensuring signage is accurate and promotions are properly highlighted, following corporate guidelines for resets and seasonal updates.
• Manage the entire process of opening or closing the store, including securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and addressing urgent issues.
• Oversee the daily activities of store associates, ensuring they perform duties effectively and provide excellent customer service.
• Support the onboarding and ongoing training of associates, helping them learn store policies, product knowledge, and operational procedures.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
• Execute the market plan by arranging products and signage according to corporate guidelines, ensuring promotional materials are displayed and updated regularly.
• Ensure the execution of the company’s Inventory Integrity process.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent; college experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain composure under pressure.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

Essential Job Functions

• Frequently operate a cash register.
• Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet.
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers, managers, and coworkers, both in-person and via telephone.
• Frequently move across the sales floor and between the stock room and sales floor.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel as required.
• Must be able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, schedules, and standard operating procedures.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to perform all essential job functions in compliance with applicable laws.
