About the Role
Responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates process efficiently and effectively as a team. Ensures an excellent customer experience by engaging with customers and maintaining a clean, organized store. Role models exceptional customer service and fosters a positive internal and external experience.
Responsibilities
- Promote a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality
- Orchestrate truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor
- Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles
- Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
- Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor
- Ensure Associates complete tasks according to store plan and prioritize as needed
- Monitor team productivity and provide coaching as necessary
- Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment
- Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards
- Uphold organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area
- Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs where applicable
- Communicate effectively with management and Associates on priorities and progress updates
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback
- Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
- Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
- Promote credit and loyalty programs
- Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs
- Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Capable of multitasking and responding appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
- Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors
- Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
- Able to train others
- 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience

Pay
This position has a starting pay range of $14.00 to $14.50 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
