Merchandise Controller

About the role

Liaison and problem solver between Distribution Center (DC) Operations and Corporate Merchandising Departments. You’ll communicate product inflows to internal DC Merchandise Control Management and Corporate Home Office Management, oversee priority merchandise with store delivery timelines, monitor and audit the internal SCAN system for accuracy, send product samples and images to Corporate Planning teams, manage the merchandise return-to-vendor process, and maintain department files. Special projects may also be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Communicate information regarding product inflowing to the Distribution Center to internal DC Merchandise Control Management and Corporate Home Office Management Associates
• Oversee the production of priority merchandise with specific store delivery timelines to ensure the right product reaches the right location at the right time in accordance with Home Office communication and deadlines
• Monitor and audit the internal computer system (SCAN) to ensure product information is logged accurately
• Send samples and pictures of product to Home Office Corporate planning teams
• Manage the merchandise return-to-vendor process
• Maintain all necessary files for the Merchandising Department
• Handle special projects as assigned
• Must be comfortable working any shift schedules the DC operates

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of merchandising experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software with a focus on Word and Excel
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to be flexible and adjust to priority updates
• Apparel retail management experience is a major plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion/Merchandising or Business/Management or equivalent experience

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

Pay

Starting pay range of $20.95 to $28.25 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
