About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable individual with a professional demeanor. This position will be responsible for welcoming customers and offering them assistance with merchandise. The Merchandise Associate will work the retail store on home games for the team. The Greensboro Swarm are looking to hire a part‑time Merchandise Associate for the 2025‑26 basketball season.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes customers by greeting them and offering assistance.
• Engages with fans and helps in the execution of promotions.
• Directs customers by escorting them to racks and counters; suggesting items.
• Advises customers by providing information on products.
• Helps customers make selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions.
• Checks inventory on a regular basis to maintain a fully stocked store front and trailer.
• Meets sales goals.
• Processes sales, exchanges, and returns on the POS system.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years of experience in a retail environment.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• High energy level.
• Experience in an arena environment or a professional/collegiate sports atmosphere.
• Dependable.
• General math skills.
• Cash handling experience.
• Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.

Schedule

Part‑time position requiring availability on weekends, all game nights (24 games), and special events during the season (e.g., season ticket holder viewing parties during weeks with away games).
