MEP Engineer
Responsibilities
- Take personal responsibility for working safely within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.
- Be a champion to support IIF efforts for working safely and building a culture of care and concern for each team member in the workplace.
- Provide assistance throughout a project to ensure timely and quality results.
- Assist in the design, planning, scheduling, and coordination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection work on the assigned project.
- Cookorate with project teams in the development of budgets and schedules.
- Prepare accurate quantity surveys and help create MEP price checks.
- Collaborate with the Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) and project teams to help resolve MEP issues prior to or during construction.
- Help prepare above-ceiling and any other model-based coordination, drawings, and models as needed.
- Provide assistance throughout a project to ensure timely and quality results.
- Participate collaboratively in team processes among project participants.
- Attend all M/E pre-bid meetings and commissioning meetings.
- Compose and issue meeting minutes.
- Help develop RFPs and work with MEP subcontractors.
- Work closely with client/owner and the project team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- History of experience and proven results including:
- Associates degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field
- 3+ years of related MEP and commercial construction experience
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- LEED certification preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and other 3D software
- Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards
- Strong analytical and logic skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of precision on detailed work
- Developed skills (written, oral, and listening) in order to effectively communicate with diverse audiences
- Able to efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously under time constraints
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build successful and lasting relationships
Pay
Estimated Pay: $72,100.00 - $107,700.00
