This role leads the onsite oversight and execution of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) activities for Oracle’s major data center projects in Saline, Michigan. Acting as a technical and project delivery expert, the candidate coordinates with developers, contractors, and internal partners to ensure MEP construction meets design, quality, safety, schedule, and budget objectives. The position drives contractor accountability, risk mitigation, and best practices in MEP systems to deliver world-class data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and provide technical leadership to the developer managing all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) construction activities for data center projects.
  • Review and monitor the developer’s management of contractors and vendors, ensuring work complies with design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Track and validate project schedules and milestones provided by the developer, highlighting risks and ensuring timely delivery of key objectives.
  • Monitor MEP budgets through the developer, reviewing invoicing, change orders, and scope alignment for compliance and accuracy.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure the developer integrates MEP systems with broader project and business requirements.
  • Conduct site visits and oversight audits to verify that the developer and general contractor maintain required quality, safety, and progress levels.
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies by proactively evaluating the developer’s plans and reporting concerns to leadership.
  • Drive adoption of best practices and innovation by guiding the developer toward efficient and forward-thinking MEP solutions.
  • Report on progress, challenges, and escalations to internal stakeholders and leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Ensure the developer maintains compliance with local regulations, building codes, safety requirements, and Oracle’s standards.
  • Mentor junior staff and cross-functional partners on MEP oversight, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Support commissioning, transition, and close-out activities by validating the developer’s handover processes for operational readiness.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience delivering mission-critical facilities (data centers, semiconductor, pharma, hospitals). Preference for data center construction experience.
  • Strong background in MV/HV/LV power systems, grounding/bonding, power quality, and protection coordination.
  • Hands-on experience with submittals/RFIs, FAT/SAT/IST, and energization events.
  • Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70/70E/110, IEEE; ability to review SKM/ETAP studies.
  • Proven interface with Developer/GC/A/E and electrical trades on large projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CxA, PMP, or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience with major OEMs (switchgear, UPS, generators) and factory testing/witnessing.
  • Familiarity with DCIM/BMS integration (Modbus/BACnet/SNMP), and cybersecurity considerations for connected equipment.
  • Exposure to structured cabling/LV dependencies for device power and telemetry.

Certain U.S.-based or U.S. customer/client-facing roles may require compliance with immunization, occupational health mandates, and/or drug testing.

Pay

Hiring range in USD: $114,600 - $234,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
