MEP/ CX- Assistant Superintendent

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years progressively responsible experience in MEP engineering, design, facility management/operations, or construction management.
• Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, controls and specialty building systems.
• Basic understanding of the design, installation, and operation of engineered systems for mission critical, educational, medical, lab, industrial, or similar projects.
• Ability to communicate with multiple levels across the organization and effectively convey technical topics to non-technical audiences.
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks.
• Working knowledge of commercial building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred:

• Ability to navigate REVIT and AutoCAD documents.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam Revu, Cx Alloy, Revizto and Primavera P6.
• Experience supporting Design-Build, CMAR, or Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) projects.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• Commissioning experience.

Core Responsibilities

Aid in the creation of Critical Path Method schedules

Participate in last planner system

Review and understand all MEP drawings and specifications

Track project and vendor goals

Work with project team to write RFIs, develop and track procurement of materials and equipment, identify and track MEP related issues to closure

Manage completion of Level 1, 2 and 3 commissioning documentation

Assist in Ready for Energization (RFE) reviews of equipment and systems

Drive a safe environment by leading activities including job safety meetings and orientations. Ensure all OSHA and other required rules and regulations are met

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, consultants and subcontractors

Attend and participate in project management and other company meetings

Attend training for personal and/or professional development

Actively participate in company-sponsored events

Support and follow standard work

Participate in Operational Excellence Improvement events and support of the McGough Way

Walk job-site regularly to assess progress

Work Environment/Travel

This is a traveling position, regular travel to project jobsites is required. Travel requirements will vary depending on project assignments.

Ability to work from both office and construction environments.

Position involves sitting for extended periods of time while working at a computer terminal. Employee will be required to visit construction jobsites, which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures. In addition, employee must be able to move around prospective or current project sites. This includes climbing ladders, walking on uneven surfaces, walking long distances, and climbing stairs.
