MEP/CX- ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT The primary role of the MEP-Cx Assistant Superintendent is to provide assistance in the planning, coordination, execution and successful delivery of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls and specialty building systems construction and commissioning on complex construction projects. The position supports the project team by coordinating mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls and specialty building systems while helping to maintaining scope, schedule, budget, quality and client expectations. As experience develops, the Assistant MEP-Cx Superintendent assumes increasing responsibility for assigned scopes, mentoring project engineers, and supporting operational initiatives. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of 3 years progressively responsible experience in MEP engineering, design, facility management/operations, or construction management.Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, controls and specialty building systems.Basic understanding of the design, installation, and operation of engineered systems for mission critical, educational, medical, lab, industrial, or similar projects.Ability to communicate with multiple levels across the organization and effectively convey technical topics to non-technical audiences.Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks.Working knowledge of commercial building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and controls.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Ability to navigate REVIT and AutoCAD documents, experience with Procore, Bluebeam Revu, Cx Alloy, Revizto and Primavera P6.Experience supporting Design-Build, CMAR, or Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) projects.OSHA 30 CertificationCommissioning experience Skills MEP systems coordinationProject planning and organizationConstruction schedulingProcurement coordinationBudget trackingTechnical document reviewProblem solving and conflict resolutionRelationship managementNegotiation and communicationConstruction technology softwareTime managementCustomer service Core Responsibilities Assist in the creation of Critical Path Method schedulesParticipate in last planner systemReview and understand all MEP drawings and specificationsAssist in tracking project and vendor goalsWork with project team to write RFIs, develop and track procurement of materials and equipment, identify and track MEP related issues to closure.Manage completion of Level 1, 2 and 3 commissioning documentation.Assist in Ready for Energization (RFE) reviews of equipment and systems.Drive a safe environment by leading activities including job safety meetings and orientations. Employee will be required to visit construction jobsites, which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures. In addition, employee must be able to move around prospective or current project sites. This includes climbing ladders, walking on uneven surfaces, walking long distances, and climbing stairs.
