MEP Coordinator

Position Summary

The MEP Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems on construction projects. This role is responsible for assisting in the integration of MEP systems into the overall project while working closely with project management, field teams, subcontractors, and design partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Aid in the coordination of MEP systems from design through installation and turnover
• Review construction documents, drawings, and specifications to identify conflicts and coordination needs
• Support MEP coordination meetings with subcontractors, engineers, and internal teams
• Track and help resolve clashes, RFIs, and coordination issues across disciplines
• Work with field teams to ensure installations align with coordinated drawings and project requirements
• Aid in maintaining MEP schedules, procurement tracking, and installation sequencing
• Support quality control efforts, including inspections and verification of installed systems
• Cover coordination with commissioning teams to support system startup, testing, and turnover documentation
• Maintain an organized project documentation including submittals, RFIs, and as-built information

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 2–3 years of experience in construction, preferably with exposure to MEP systems
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and construction processes
• Familiarity with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, BIM/Navisworks, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings
