About the Role

Under the direction and supervision of the RN, LVN, or Charge RN, assist the licensed nursing staff in providing and documenting patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living. Supports unit functions and maintains a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and co-workers. Functions as an integral part of the interdisciplinary care team and communicates pertinent patient information to the supervising RN. Performs clerical duties as assigned and provides basic nursing care for adult and geriatric patients. Performs responsibilities within the guidelines of the Nursing Structure Standards, Hospital/Nursing Policy, and state regulatory and accrediting requirements.

Schedule

  • Part-Time, Nights
  • 12-hour shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed nursing staff in providing and documenting patient care, including activities of daily living.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and co-workers.

  • Perform clerical duties as assigned.

  • Adhere to Nursing Structure Standards, Hospital/Nursing Policy, and state regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Current and valid license as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) issued by the State, or a minimum of one year of experience working as a Mental Health Worker in a hospital setting.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current status.
  • One year of prior mental health experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology preferred.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $16.08 to $23.30 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
