Job Summary

Provides direct behavioral health patient care.

Responsibilities

• Aids patients with activities of daily living.
• Performs diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.
• Observes and documents patient behavior and activities.
• Suggests modifications to the treatment plan based on observed changes.
• Maintains a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients.
• Communicates with supervising RN to clarify expectations.
• Ensures patient comfort through tasks/services that enhance satisfaction.
• Prevents patient injury by maintaining a safe environment.
• Supports efficient departmental operations to control costs and improve productivity.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree preferred.
• Behavioral Health experience and college courses in psychology preferred.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 3 months of hire date or job transfer date.
