About the role
The successful candidate will join CoreCivic’s mental health team, setting industry standards for care. They will serve as Mental Health Coordinator, providing clinical mental health services without medical intervention.
Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health screenings and assessments based on available records and clinical interviews.
- Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans based on inmate needs and functioning levels.
- Document treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each inmate.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of psychological counseling theory and techniques through various treatments and activities.
- Provide mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions to meet the needs of inmates.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field.
- At least five (5) years of clinical experience, with two (2) years in a comparable job position.
- Must have appropriate certification or licensure in the state where practice occurs, such as LPC, LCSW, or LMFTA.
- A minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
Benefits
Eligible for up to 5% annual bonus.
Pay
$94,000 - $103,000 annually.
