Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy for children, adolescents, and families (24 session slots and 1 emergency session slot per week)
  • Shadow and provide psychological consults within different levels of care
  • Attend and participate in department meetings (clinical and organizational)
  • Appropriately document intakes, therapy sessions, safety plans, treatment plans, and termination summaries in the electronic medical record
  • Collaborate on care with appropriate disciplines (PCPs, Psychiatry, etc.)
  • Provide referrals for patient and family needs
  • Share appropriate resource materials and information with patients/families
  • Utilize social work support as needed
  • Triage crisis calls to determine appropriate level of care
  • Document pertinent information and complete CPS reports in a timely fashion
  • Attend clinical supervision meetings (2 hours per every 15 patients seen)
  • Engage in continuing education to strengthen clinical skills

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a mental health-related field with associated field experience
  • Experience in medical social work or healthcare preferred

Skills

  • Knowledge of human behavior, social problems, counseling modalities, and community resources
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Licenses and Certifications

  • Current and valid Masters Social Worker and Mental Health Practitioner licensure in the state of Nebraska
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record

For Behavioral Health Team Members: Cover inpatient consults one weekend day per week under licensed provider supervision.
