About the role

As a Mental Health Therapist at ACP, you’ll deliver high-quality psychotherapy and mental health services to adults experiencing diverse mental health challenges, including serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, cognitive decline, dementia, and complex medical and psychosocial issues. ACP clinicians work directly with residents, staff, and families in settings such as:

  • Long-term care facilities
  • Assisted and independent living communities
  • Group homes
  • Transitional care units
  • Board and care residences

You will facilitate life span development, teach evidence-based strategies, and create a therapeutic milieu that supports all members of the residential community toward vital living, even when chronic medical conditions are present.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy and mental health interventions.
  • Travel to various medical and community settings to reach clients who may have barriers to accessing traditional in-office care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree (PsyD or PhD) in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
  • Active Minnesota license as an LICSW, LP, LMFT, or LPCC.
  • Strong clinical skills and a passion for working with diverse and older populations.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive care and integrated health models.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Pay

Starting salary range:

  • Master’s-level licensed clinicians (LICSW, LMFT): $75,000 – $90,000 annually
  • Doctoral-level licensed clinicians (LP, PsyD, PhD): $90,000 – $105,000 annually

Compensation depends on licensure, experience, schedule, and caseload. A hiring bonus is available.
