About the role
Sunny Days Therapeutics is seeking a licensed remote mental health therapist to provide trauma-informed telehealth therapy to justice-involved youth and young adults involved with the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) across Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and/or family therapy sessions via secure telehealth to justice-involved youth and young adults in Georgia
- Conduct comprehensive mental health and diagnostic assessments
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based interventions (CBT, TF-CBT, MI, anger management, etc.)
- Conduct suicide risk assessments and safety planning
- Support clients with trauma, behavioral disorders, substance use, and reentry challenges
- Collaborate with probation officers, courts, schools, and caregivers as clinically appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Create a safe, supportive, and client-centered therapeutic environment
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work
- Active Georgia license or license-eligible (LCSW or LMSW)
- Substance Abuse Certification (CADC, CAADC, or equivalent)
- Experience working with adolescents or high-risk populations
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care
- Professional liability insurance required
