Mental Health Therapist EBW

About the role

The Fred Finch East Bay Wrap program is seeking BBS registered clinicians to join our multi-disciplinary team to provide evidence based wraparound services to children and youth ages 6-22 years. As part of the East Bay Wrap program, you will make a difference in the lives of youth and their families, gain hours towards licensure while becoming trained in specific clinical modalities, learn medical documentation standards while having multiple avenues for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Under administrative and clinical supervision (Mental Health Therapist I) or consultation and direction (Mental Health Therapist II), provides behavioral health clinical intervention and recovery services to assigned participants and their families;
• Develops treatment plans and performs individual, group, and family therapy, routine and emergency assessment, crisis intervention, and related treatment services;
• Maintains an assigned caseload of children, youth and/or young adult participants;
• Provides consultation to other staff, programs, and agencies related to treatment needs and plans;
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Educational Background:
  • Mental Health Therapist I - II: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field;
  • Experience:
    • Mental Health Therapist I: One (1) year of internship experience providing mental health services in a behavioral health, clinic, residential, school-based, or community-based setting for children, youth, or young adults.
    • Mental Health Therapist II: Two (2) years of post-master’s experience providing professional mental health services in a behavioral health, clinic, residential, school-based, or community-based setting for children, youth, or young adults.
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • Mental Health Therapist I: Possession of a valid registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), to be maintained throughout employment.
  • Mental Health Therapist II: Possession of valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), to be maintained throughout employment.

Qualifications

• Ability to drive and maintain a properly registered and insured vehicle;
• Ability to obtain registered status as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) within the first six (6) months after hire (for Mental Health Therapist I).

Pay

Salary Range: In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is between $70,074.00 - $89,434.15 annually. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Shifts Available: Full Time – M-F 9 am- 5:30 pm
