About the role
The Mental Health Therapist will provide school-based mental health services to children at Aspen Ridge and Fernbrook Elementary Schools. Services are provided in a natural, non-stigmatizing setting to offer early and effective intervention.
Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships with children, parents, and other family members
- Conducting individual therapy and, as needed, conducting family and group therapies
- Creating and implementing treatment plans and regularly evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Licensure as a Mental Health Therapist in the state of Minnesota
- Experience working with children and families in a school-based setting
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in child mental health

- Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist in the state of Minnesota
- Experience providing therapy to children and families in a school-based setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families

Pay
- Unlicensed: $62,000 - $68,500 plus $1,000 hiring bonus for external candidates
- Licensed: $74,000- $80,000, plus $2,000 hiring bonus for external candidates
Schedule
- 1.0 FTE: 40 hours a week during academic year, reduced to 20 hours per week in the summer
- .5 FTE: 40 hours a week during academic year, 20 hours per week in the summer
