Mental Health Technician PRN

About the role

The Mental Health Technician position at Research Psychiatric Center is dedicated to providing high quality, patient-centered care. This role requires a combination of skills including empathy, compassion, and a strong understanding of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to and close supervision of psychiatric patients
• Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient vital signs
• Document and report any physical or behavioral changes
• Participate as part of the treatment team following facility policies and procedures

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED
• An Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Demonstrated competency in BLS upon hire and maintained
• C.N.A preferred
• One year of inpatient psychiatric experience preferred
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology and clerical background preferred
