Mental Health Technician (MHT) - Overnight
Schedule: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, five shifts per week, including every other weekend. Shift differentials available depending on the shift.
About the role
As a Mental Health Technician (MHT), you'll be an integral part of our treatment team, providing continuous care, supervision, and positive role modeling to patients across various age groups from preschool to geriatrics. Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you'll contribute to creating a therapeutic environment that fosters patient support and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Accurately record vital signs
- Exercise judgment in patient interactions and report changes to the RN
- Follow therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team and provide information for development and revision
- Employ crisis-intervention techniques, conduct MHT-led groups, and use facility-approved CPI techniques
- Assist patients through discharge, guide in adjusting to life changes, and help with personal hygiene
- Comply with policies for a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment, practicing universal precautions and responding to patient care priorities
- May be required to work overtime and flexible hours
Requirements
- High School Degree or equivalent preferred; or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
- Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy, or appropriate therapeutic discipline preferred
- One year of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness, preferred

Pay
This is a full-time role with an expected compensation range of $18.00 – $25.00 per hour. Consideration will be provided based on experience and skill level.
