Mental Health Technician IPF

Job Summary

Provides direct patient care and support within a behavioral health setting, working under the supervision of a nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assists with daily living activities
• Makes observations and monitors vital signs
• Reports changes in patient behavior
• Participates in treatment planning
• Ensures patient safety
• Creates a therapeutic environment
• Fosters positive patient interactions

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) required within 30 days of start date
• Prior experience in a behavioral health or psychiatric setting is required
