Mental Health Technician II - Crisis Center - Pool

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment
• Promotes patient engagement in treatment and daily activities
• Monitoring patient behavior
• Facilitating group sessions
• Supporting overall treatment plans
• Performing supportive, trauma-informed care
• Providing a safe and therapeutic milieu
• Completing routine safety checks and constant attendance per order
• Adhering to patient-specific treatment plans
• Crisis intervention
• Assistance with activities of daily living
• Appropriate documentation
• Facilitation of therapeutic group
• Assistance with programming
• Collaboration with the treatment team and discharge planning

Requirements

• Associates degree in psychology, social worker, or a related field required; Bachelors degree preferred
• CPI or other crisis intervention training preferred or required within 90 days of hire
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health or healthcare setting preferred
• Experience working with patients with mental health or substance use disorders is strongly desired
