Mental Health Technician

Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Mental Health Technician for their Behavioral Health Unit. The position is PRN evenings from 11:00am - 11:00pm.

• Provides care to patients in a manner that considers safety, comfort, and therapeutic environment under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Documents observations on assigned patients.
• Communicates appropriate information regarding patient's condition.
• Affords assistance with patient education groups, total milieu supervision, and admissions/discharges as assigned.

CPI Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Experience Requirements:

• Less than 1 year Mental Health Technician Experience
• Nursing Assistant Experience
• Corpsman Experience

Education & Credential Requirements:

• High School Diploma (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

This Mental Health Technician will be located at Baptist Medical Center in Downtown Jacksonville.

Positions designated as requiring a level II Background (A detailed fingerprint-based screening for positions of trust that check state (FDLE) and national (FBI) criminal history) will undergo screening as a condition of employment and continued employment.
