Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment
- Facilitates group sessions
- Supports overall treatment plans
- Performs supportive, trauma-informed care
- Provides routine safety checks and constant attendance
- Adheres to patient-specific treatment plans
- Engages in crisis intervention
- Assists with activities of daily living
- Documents appropriately
- Facilitates therapeutic group sessions
- Collaborates with the treatment team and participates in discharge planning
Requirements
- Associates degree in psychology, social work, or a related field required; Bachelors degree preferred
- CPI or other crisis intervention training preferred or required within 90 days of hire
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health or healthcare setting preferred
- Experience working with patients with mental health or substance use disorders strongly desired
Qualifications
- Age-appropriate, trauma-informed care competence
- Participation in self-appraisal for performance improvement
