Mental Health Tech Full Time Nights

About the role

Mental Health Techs conduct safety checks on patients, facilitate educational groups, assist nurses in the admission and discharge process, and support patients with one-on-one sessions daily. This is an entry-level position, but proper customer service skills are required. Previous experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility is preferred, but the organization is willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety checks on patients

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college in psychology, sociology or similar field OR Associate’s degree in psychology, sociology or similar field with related experience OR valid CDCA from the State of Ohio with related experience OR enrolled in an accredited nursing program or social services OR relevant experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Diplomacy and discretion
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects
• Professional demeanor and appearance
