Mental Health Tech - Forrest City TC - Days

Arisa Health is searching for candidates to fill Mental Health Technician positions in a group home serving adults with mental illness in Forrest City, Arkansas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Maintenance of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Workers or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification for Healthcare Workers
• Good computer skills
• Good leadership skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize
• Patient, consistent, and flexible
• Ability to work in a team setting and work independently

Previous experience in a residential setting or working in the mental health field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to clients under the general supervision of registered nurses, physicians, psychiatrists, or other qualified personnel
• Perform tasks within the scope of your educational preparation, knowledge, and permitted by the policies and procedures of local, state, and federal guidelines, as well as the policies of the facility
• Function as a member of the interdisciplinary team and assist with the coordination of services, including planning, monitoring, documenting, and conducting evaluations of services to clients
• Make observations regarding clients’ physical conditions, behaviors, and responses to treatment, and report any significant changes to the appropriate supervisor and other staff members
• Maintain appropriate documentation
• Utilize behavioral techniques to prevent injury to patients and others, ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for clients, and respond appropriately in crisis situations
