Mental Health Tech/Certified Nursing Assistant - FT/PRN- Day/Night

About the role

We are seeking Full-Time/PRN Mental Health Techs (MHT) and/or Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) with experience in psychiatric care to join our team at Freedom Behavioral Monroe/West Monroe facility.

Job Duties

• Contribute to the physical, psychological, emotional, and well-being of each person served.
• Absorb and document important clinical information and communicate it effectively.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), meals, patient hygiene, room cleanliness, and other patient care activities as assigned.
• Maintain and monitor therapy groups under the direct supervision of licensed/certified professionals.
• Collect and document relevant data for patient records under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Perform various clinical and patient care tasks, including laundry and equipment cleaning, under the guidance of a licensed nurse.
• Promote patient safety, infection control, and proper body mechanics.

Qualifications

• Previous experience caring for geriatric psychiatric patients is strongly preferred.
• CNA certification is preferred.
