MENTAL HEALTH TECH-ADULT

Responsibilities

• Provides care services related to the type of scheduled activity on the unit and treatment plan, including recreational, art, media, self-expression, physical exercise, etc.
• Affords assistance to patients and other staff with ambulation, transfers and repositioning as needed.
• Affords assistance with the patient's activities of daily living, including such activities as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, feeding, etc.
• Makes measurements and obtains and records and reports patient’s vital signs, weight, I&O, glucometer testing, etc.
• Maintains surveillance of patients based upon safety precautions as assigned.

Qualifications

• Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Ability to clearly communicate with the multidisciplinary team members
• Post high school education may be substituted for the work experience requirement on a year for year basis.
• Education: High School Diploma/GED Equivalent General Studies Required
• Experience: One (1) year of work experience as a healthcare provider, preferably in a behavior health setting, or a closely related field is required.
• Training: Healthcare/Medical Required
• Certification: Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation
