Mental Health Specialist I

About the role

We are seeking a Mental Health Specialist I to join our team in the Coachella Center. This position offers competitive compensation, generous time off, and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health services including engagement, assessment and evaluation, and other services to clients referred to the Community Services Program.
• Act as liaison with external agencies and function on teams with other clinical & support staff.
• Document and bill for mental health and case management services and complete outcomes information.

Requirements

• Valid California Driver's License
• Two (2) years’ experience working in the Mental Health Field; OR Sixty (60) semester hours of college course work in child development, psychology or a related field
• Ability to work effectively with clients and caregivers from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Knowledge of Community Resources, especially related to the Mental Health field, is highly desirable to make appropriate linkages

Pay

$19.00 - $22.70 USD per hour

Schedule

8 Hour AM Shift (Monday - Friday)
