About the role
We have 32–40 hour/week positions available on AM, PM, and NOC shifts at our Oconomowoc hospital. You can choose to work with kids and adolescents or adults, depending on your passion.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Aid patients with activities of daily living.
- Interact directly with patients, attend to their needs, and assist in behavioral crisis intervention as needed.
- Provide therapeutic patient care in group or one-to-one settings.
- Maintain patient safety and accurately locate patients at all times, adhering to rounding standards and documentation requirements.
- Monitor safety of patients, visitors, and the environment, including adherence to infection control standards and daily environmental rounds.
- Observe and monitor patient behavior and activities, including meals and monitoring food intake and output, and complete documentation related to the daily treatment progress notes.
- Perform patient vitals, including orthostatic vitals, as directed by nursing leadership and immediately report any changes in patient condition or safety to the treatment team.
- Ensure safe transport and transition of patients to and from scheduled program activities.
- Orient and educate patients upon admission and document as required, completing a patient belongings search and documenting belongings.
- Support float coverage across all inpatient levels of care as needed.
Education/Training Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year CNA, MA, or similar patient care experience preferred.
- Valid WI driver’s license preferred.
- Formal training will be provided within 30 days of hire:
- American Heart Association CPR certification.
- Training in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI).
- Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF) trainings.
