Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical, consultation, and counseling services in accordance with policies, procedures, and professional standards.
  • Conduct mental health screenings and assessments and complete treatment plans, including ASAM tools when needed.
  • Respond to sick call requests, referrals, and provide crisis intervention services.
  • Complete required clinical documentation and document services in CorEMR as appropriate.
  • Support pre-release planning, quality assurance activities, and provide training and consultation to staff.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or other related mental health discipline.
  • Experience: One (1) or more years of experience preferred. Experience with substance use disorders and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Licensed or license-eligible in the State of practice – e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, Psychologist – Must maintain all licenses, certifications, continuing educational requirements, etc.

Qualifications

Candidates should be comfortable with: crisis management, severe mental illness, brief, solution-focused interventions, substance use and withdrawal awareness, boundary setting & manipulation awareness, interdisciplinary collaboration, and emotional resilience. Additionally, we focus heavily on 5150/5250 mechanics, Title 15 & BSCC Standards, and CalAIM continuity of care.
