Mental Health Professional I - Assessment/Mobile Crisis (Berkeley)

About the role

The Office of Mental Health at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) seeks a Mental Health Professional I - Assessment/Mobile Crisis.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive mental health assessments for the purpose of initiating a service plan for each client.
• Identify the level of service needs and address client needs/goals for treatment planning.
• Provide evidence-based clinical interventions.
• Provide therapy services as needed.
• Maintain patient care hours standards.
• Coordinate mobile crisis and outreach services and interventions to individuals and their families.
• Triage cases and respond to crises promptly.
• Participate in clinical staffing.
• Offer advanced level crisis management services in accordance with Center policies and procedures.
• Document services clearly, concisely, focusing on client-driven care, and meet required timelines and services elements.
• Complete documentation and services in accordance with QA/QI standards, policies, and procedures.
• Adhere to laws, policies, procedures of the Center, OMH, and the State, including Corporate Compliance policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Ensure required documentation is completed in a timely manner, including signatures for Consent to Treatment, Confidentiality and Privacy Practices notices, and other required forms, meeting quality standards.
• Help ensure the Center maintains CARF accreditation standards and positive quality audits.
• Participate in activities promoting ongoing professional development and training.

Requirements

• A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences that qualifies for licensure as an LPC or LISW.
• Direct patient care experience in a clinical setting, either post-Masters or during your graduate program (i.e., internship or practicum).

Qualifications

• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a PLUS.
