About the role

Provide school-based mental health services to children and adolescents experiencing mental health concerns, communication challenges, or family conflict. Open until filled. Number of openings: 1. Position located in postal code 56621, full-time, on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based mental health services to children and adolescents.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments.
• Deliver individual and family therapy.
• Provide mental health skills services.
• Receive clinical and day-to-day supervision as required based on position and licensure level.
• Licensed Mental Health Professionals are preferred; qualified Clinical Trainees and Mental Health Practitioners are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Education:

• Master’s degree preferred.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science or related field plus one of the following:
  • 2,000 hours of experience delivering services to individuals with mental illness or substance use disorder.
  • Completion of an internship/practicum with direct interaction with adult or child clients.
  • 4,000 hours of work experience delivering services to adults or children with mental illness or substance abuse disorder.

Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of human behavior and performance, individual differences, learning and motivation, psychological research methods, and assessment/treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
• Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends, human migrations, ethnicity, and cultures and their history.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently within established guidelines with limited supervision.
• Ability to travel to meetings with families, school officials, and other agencies.

Schedule

First (Day) shift.

Pay

$20.00 – $30.00 per hour, with productivity-based incentive pay.
