Mental Health Professional
Mental Health Professional Position Summary
The Mental Health Professional will work as part of a multidisciplinary team with all other disciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to provide a proactive and collaborative approach in serving the patient population. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing crisis stabilization, completing intakes and ongoing evaluations.
- Participating in monthly behavioral health calls, collaborating with the medical team to determine overall treatment plans.
- Conducting risk assessments, coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams including medical staff, community providers, psychiatric hospitals, and corrections.
- Discharge planning and assisting in the implementation of program goals and objectives.
- Preparation of necessary documentation, records, and reports.
- Utilizing clinical skills such as prioritizing treatment needs, crisis management, and providing brief clinical interventions like CBT and Motivational Interviewing.
- Excellent and timely documentation skills required.
- Making independent clinical decisions, with assistance and supervisory intervention as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Licensed, Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician, or equivalent license (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC).
- Master’s Social Worker who can administer assessments, make clinical decisions, provide Mental Health treatment, and hold any of the above licenses.
- Co-leadership of group therapy, one-on-one therapy, and crisis therapy.
- One year employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency or equivalent.
- Satisfactory background investigation report.

Qualifications
