About the role
This position is a 50/50 share between two departments housed in the same office, The Behavior Support Team (BeST) and Children’s Specialty Care. The Behavior Support Team (BeST) provides short-term community-based intervention services throughout King County for families who have a child with development disabilities experiencing behavior challenges. Children’s Specialty Care is a key role within the behavioral health department of MultiCare, responsible for providing individual, family, and group therapy for patients in an office setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive Intake Assessment of youth and family’s needs across all life domains and review/update as indicated.
- Generate Treatment Plan and Crisis Plan with youth and family based on their individual needs.
- Complete a Functional Behavior Assessment and develop a Positive Behavior Support Plan that is informed by the Functional Behavior Assessment.
- Provide clinical services such as individual and family therapy as needed throughout the course of treatment.
- Maintain client records in keeping with agency, county, contract and state guidelines.
- Attend weekly individual clinical supervision, weekly team meetings and required agency meetings.
- Demonstrate a commitment to cultural competence.
Requirements
- Masters degree in a related field.
- A Mental Health Professional as defined within HB 1724 one of these higher credentials are held: Counselor Agency Affiliated Licensed, Marriage & Family Therap Assoc (LMFTA), Mental Health Counselor Assoc (LMHCA), SW Associate Advanced License (LSWAA), SW Advanced Lic (LASW), SW Assoc Independent Clinical Lic (LSWAIC).
- Previous experience providing mental health counseling services preferred.

Pay
$34.80 - $50.10 USD.
Schedule
FTE: 1.0, Shift: Days, Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts.
