About the role
Interviews and interacts with patients and, when indicated, their advocates to obtain mental status and psychiatric and social histories relevant to their current emotional/behavioral problem(s). Uses current evidence-based knowledge and skills to assess psychiatric emergencies and to provide sound, professional care and crisis intervention services to patients.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Master’s Degree Program in a mental health discipline (e.g., social work, counseling, or psychology).
- A license in their particular discipline (e.g., L.C.S.W., L.C.P.C., C.S.) must be obtained within 12 months of hire or transfer date.
- Minimum of 6 months postgraduate clinical experience.
- Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required by the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or other department requirements.
- Proficiency in computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements.
- Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment producing quality work.
Schedule
Flexible schedule to include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays to assist in achieving 24/7 on-call coverage.
