Mental Health Medical Assistant

Adjust Mental Health LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Medical Assistant to join our growing team in Fishers, IN. Responsibilities
- Assist mental health providers with patient intake, rooming, and clinical documentation
- Record and update patient medical histories, vital signs, and behavioral health information
- Support care coordination and communicate effectively with patients and families
- Manage scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations for psychiatric services
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide a calm, welcoming environment for patients experiencing mental health concerns
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred
- Prior experience in a medical, behavioral health, or psychiatric setting is a plus
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical office workflows
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centered, empathetic approach
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive mental health information with discretion
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
