Mental Health Coordinator (LCSW)

Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of clinical programs in conjunction with the Chief Psychiatrist
• Provision of the full range of mental health services to assigned patients, including mental health evaluation, group & individual therapy, and crisis intervention
• Ensuring 24-hour coverage for the facility, on-call and/or on-site
• Participation in treatment team activities, including the development and periodic review of inmate treatment plans
• Forensic evaluations
• Crisis intervention training to staff
• Group & individual therapy and psycho-educational groups as requested by the treatment team
• Intellectual and personality assessments when requested by the treatment team or as required by a forensic evaluation
• Unit morning reports (at relevant sites)
• On-call responsibilities as assigned
• Promotion of a positive working relationship with Health Services, mental health staff, correctional staff, and CFG administrative staff
• Compliance with employee standards of CFG Health Systems, LLC and applicable employee standards of the facility
• Interview process of new hires
• Implementation of the CQI process and programs
• Chairs the treatment team or designates a chairperson
• Use of the swipe system for time reporting purposes
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an LCSW in the state of Maryland
• Experience in providing services in inpatient/outpatient environments
• Experience in providing services in a correctional environment is preferred
• Good interpersonal communication and leadership skills
• Ability to interact with institutional staff, medical staff, and the agencies of the court
• Completion of a satisfactory background investigation
